Craig Stewart Joins GWIC as National Accounts and Training Manager
Stewart will use his more than 24 years of experience in the funeral industry to continue to build relationships
American Enterprise Group, Inc. (AEG) is pleased to announce Craig Stewart has joined the company as National Accounts and Training Manager. Stewart will be responsible for overseeing relationships with agencies and marketers nationwide and driving growth of AEG’s Life and Preneed business under the Great Western Insurance Company (GWIC) brand.
“The addition of Craig to our national sales team reinforces our commitment to growing our Preneed business,” said Kenn Peterson, Vice President, National Sales – Preneed at AEG. “With his passion for building relationships and genuine, caring nature, Craig will be instrumental in continuing to strengthen our position as an industry leader in the Preneed market.”
Stewart, a licensed Pennsylvania funeral director, has more than 24 years of experience in the funeral service industry. His extensive background has primarily been involved on the Preneed sales side, having been a preplanning professional, sales manager, and corporate trainer. Stewart has assisted funeral home owners and marketing companies in developing successful Preneed programs through community involvement, seminars, and marketing campaigns.
Prior to joining AEG, Stewart spent four years at Kuhn Funeral Homes, Inc. in West Reading, Pennsylvania, as the preplanning manager. In this role, he exceeded $1 million per year in personal production sales, writing GWIC Preneed products.
“I’m truly honored and excited to join the AEG team,” Stewart said. “Having been involved in funeral service on many levels, I’ve seen changes and the evolution of our business. However, certain qualities never change, like building relationships with compassion, integrity, trust, and excellence. These are the core values of what we do, and I’ve personally observed these values reflected consistently within the AEG team having worked with them for a number of years.”
Stewart added, “To love what you do for a living is a privilege that few are fortunate to have. I’m proud to be aligned with this group of professionals who do just that.”
Stewart currently resides with his wife and three dogs in Prineville, Oregon.
